“In the drayage space, we’ve seen an increased usage of our mobile app for drivers as container drayage companies try to digitize more of their workflow,” says Dennis Lane, managing director of Trinium Technologies. “From dispatch workflow to document capture with electronic PODs, mobile app usage is now a regular part of more and more of our customers’ operations.”
Lane added that tech is improving visibility, with GPS tracking and geofencing capabilities giving dispatchers and customers real-time visibility to their containers. Marine terminals and railroads are providing access to key data via APIs that integrate, push/pull data, between systems for improved dray productivity.
