ContainerPort Group Expands Use of Trinium with Mobile App

PALOS VERDES, California – April 19, 2018 – ContainerPort Group, one of the largest intermodal trucking companies in the U.S., has expanded its utilization of Trinium to accommodate the ASF merger and to focus on mobile applications for its owner operator fleet. Trinium Technologies is a leading provider of business software for the intermodal trucking and container drayage industry.

ContainerPort Group manages a network of 24 terminals with over 1,300 trucks across the Midwest, Gulf, Ohio Valley, and East Coast. The company has been a long-time user of Trinium’s enterprise application, Trinium TMS. As the ContainerPort Group doubled in size with the ASF merger, the company has expanded the license agreement with Trinium to accommodate the growth. Trinium TMS is one of the few intermodal focused applications that provides proven scalability to handle hundreds of users across a large distributed network. “We’re in the process of integrating the ASF operations onto the Trinium platform, which includes adoption of the Trinium mobile application for our fleet”, said Michael Smith, President of ContainerPort Group.

The Trinium mobile application, Trinium MC2, is broadly used among its container drayage customers in all intermodal regions of the U.S. and Canada. Trinium MC2 provides “bring your own device” flexibility for intermodal drayage companies that are largely owner-operator based. The app is compatible with any smart phone or tablet, providing dispatch workflow, electronic POD, document capture, and GPS tracking functionality. “Adoption of our mobile app is growing across our customer base, with a heavy trend towards capturing the driver documents where we provide both electronic signature capability and document capture functionality using the camera on the smart phone or tablet”, said Michael Thomas, CEO of Trinium Technologies.

The business value of the MC2 deployment for ContainerPort Group is improved dispatch efficiency, improved accuracy of data for customers, reduced administrative costs, and a compressed billing cycle.
