Trinium Interfaces with IANA's GIER and UIIA Driver DataBases

PALOS VERDES, California – February 16, 2017 - Trinium Technologies, a leading provider of business software for the container drayage industry, released new interfaces with industry databases run by the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA).

The interfaces have been developed to benefit Trinium’s container drayage software customers throughout the U.S. and Canada by streamlining connectivity with commonly used industry data from IANA. The Trinium GIER interface was designed to validate the chassis owner in Trinium’s TMS (transportation management system). Once a chassis number is entered into the TMS by an internal user or driver, Trinium interfaces the chassis number to the GIER database (IANA’s Global Intermodal Equipment Registry) pulling back the chassis owner into Trinium’s TMS. Automating the validation of the chassis owner, enables a more efficient and timely means of calculating chassis rental fees to customers and chassis payables to chassis providers.

The Trinium UIIA interface was designed to enable updates made to driver data in Trinium’s safety system to be sent to the UIIA Intermodal Driver Database, reducing the administrative time of having to keep two databases updated.

Trinium has been an IANA member and supporter for over fifteen years. The company’s customer base is comprised mainly of port and rail drayage companies, who are also members of IANA and users of the various IANA applications and databases. “Our focus is on the intermodal segment of the trucking industry, so expanding our interface capabilities with IANA databases expands the value of the Trinium offering”, said Michael Thomas, CEO of Trinium Technologies.
