Trinium Releases Enhancements to Integrate with ELD Applications

PALOS VERDES, California – February 15, 2018 – Trinium Technologies, a leading provider of business software for intermodal trucking and container drayage companies in the U.S. and Canada, announced the release of enhancements to interface with ELD applications.

With the ELD mandate taking full effect in late 2017, intermodal trucking companies have had to adapt their business processes as to how they manage driver logs and hours of service. Demand has now shifted to providing the electronic logging and HOS data to the trucking company’s operating system or TMS. To meet this demand Trinium has released some enhancements to its core operating system, Trinium TMS. Trinium also developed an interface with ELD provider BigRoad to pull in HOS data into Trinium TMS. The new functionality provides dispatchers with real-time visibility into hours used and available hours for each driver in the fleet to streamline the planning process. Within the dispatch process, Trinium also added user warnings that prompt a dispatcher when planning exceeds available hours that enable the trucking company to meet DOT compliance standards.

Trinium piloted the interface and new enhancements with ICI Trucking, an intermodal trucking customer based in Worcester, MA. “Trinium was able to work with API’s provided by our ELD vendor, BigRoad, to develop an interface with their TMS that provides better visibility of HOS data for our dispatchers during the planning process. The enhancements will help us to improve our productivity while maintaining strict compliance standards for our drivers”, said Steve Jones, vice president at ICI Trucking.

“At our last user conference, our customers expressed the need to interface with their ELD applications, to leverage the investment in both the ELD and Trinium TMS applications. We’ll do more ELD integrations like this based on customer demand”, said Michael Thomas, CEO at Trinium Technologies.

Trinium also provides a mobile application for drivers (Trinium MC2), that provides dispatch workflow, document capture, GPS tracking, and a duty status feature for ELD exempt drivers. Trinium MC2 is used on the same smart devices that run the ELD applications.
